Acceptable Use Policy
StickTale is built for explainer videos. These rules keep it that way, for everyone who uses it and everyone who watches what it makes.
What StickTale is for
StickTale makes educational and entertaining explainer videos in one simple cartoon style: stick figures, hand-drawn scenes, a narrator and captions. It does not make realistic images of people, and it has no face-swap, deepfake or voice-cloning features.
StickTale is an independent product. It uses third-party AI models, including Google’s Gemini models, to research, write, draw and narrate. StickTale is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google or any other model provider.
Not allowed
Do not use StickTale, including your questions, character descriptions, scene descriptions and scripts, to create content that:
- is sexual or NSFW in any way: sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, nude or erotic content, fetish content, or anything “uncensored” or “18+”;
- involves minors in any sexual or harmful way, including sexualized or suggestive depictions of characters who are or appear to be under 18;
- glorifies or promotes violence, terrorism, extremism, self-harm, suicide or eating disorders, or shows graphic gore;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or demeans a person or group, including hate based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics;
- depicts real people deceptively: impersonation, putting words in a real person’s mouth to mislead, or content designed to pass as real footage or statements;
- is deliberately false or misleading, such as election, health, medical or financial misinformation, scams or fraud;
- is illegal, or explains how to commit serious crimes, make weapons or drugs, or harm others;
- infringes intellectual property, such as copyrighted characters, logos or other people’s work you do not have rights to;
- is spam: mass-produced, repetitive or misleading content made to manipulate platforms, views or search results.
How we enforce it
Every question, character description and scene description is checked automatically by a content-moderation service before it reaches an AI model. Requests that are flagged are blocked and nothing is generated or charged. The AI models we use also apply their own safety filters.
We may review accounts and generations that look like misuse. Breaking this policy can lead to blocked requests, removal of access to features, or closing your account without a refund, as described in our terms of service. Where the law requires it, we report illegal content to the authorities.
Your responsibility when you publish
You are responsible for the videos you publish and for following the rules of the platforms you post on, including YouTube’s policies on AI-generated, reused and repetitive content and its disclosure rules for realistic synthetic content. Check facts before you publish.
Reporting misuse
If you see StickTale used in a way that breaks this policy, email support@sticktale.com with a link or description. We look at every report.
